These visual dictionaries have been created with the hope that they can also be shared and recreated. Individual images for the Indonesian and African dictionary are also available under the links provided, which may be used in other materials.
The Adaptable Picture Dictionary, by Owen Edwards and David Mead is designed so that language communities of Sulawesi and across Indonesia can easily create a picture dictionary that promotes their local language. It consists of a set of Microsoft Word documents that come supplied with over 2000 pictures and captions in Indonesian and English; just add your own captions and page titles in the local language.
Bilingual visual dictionaries, with AI-generated images set in a Central African context; This has over 1600 words and phrases, as well as a few proverbs and stories for added interest. Word collection can be done in Excel, viewing PDF templates, and then can be automatically inserted into the templates. A beautifully illustrated trilingual visual dictionary from China, available to download and reproduce in Bloom. With artist-drawn images, stories and text boxes for up to three languages, this is a simplified version (created for Bloom) of "Dai-Chinese-English Book of Everyday Things" published in 2019.

What is not permitted:
Photos cannot be sold without significant modification.
Compiling photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service.
All images on Wikimedia Commons should be reusable but each may have different requirements for crediting a photographer, linking a license, etc.
