Hello! My name is Renee Mortenson and I am very excited for my fourth year in Kindergarten at Sigsbee Charter School!

I am originally from Medina, Ohio and have lived in Key West for three years. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashland University, in Ohio. This school year will be my 8th year of teaching. I previously taught in Kentucky, and in Beijing, China.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, and being outside. My dog Rosie is two years old and I spend a lot of time buying her toys and taking her on walks! I just got married this summer! We enjoy boating, swimming, and exploring around the Keys!

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your student this year. I know it will be a great year with lots of learning and memories!

Mrs. Jenn Telfer

Snook Support Teacher

My name is Jenn Telfer or “Mrs. T”, and I'm excited to be part of this learning community. 

Last year, I worked in a first grade classroom as a teacher's support, gaining valuable experience in early education. 

We moved to Key West last summer, since my husband got stationed here. I’m originally from Ohio, GO BUCKEYES!! I have three children of my own. 

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, painting, exploring nature, and going to the sand bars with my family.

 I understand the love and dedication you have for your children, and I'm committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for their growth.
