News From Siena

“Love God, serve God; everything is in that.” –– St. Clare of Assisi

Dear Siena Families and Friends,

With Lent fast approaching, we are preparing our hearts for reflection and growth, focusing on the values that shape our students academically, spiritually, and personally. Lent calls us to deepen our faith, embrace acts of kindness and service, and grow closer to God. At Siena Catholic Schools, we guide our students in understanding the importance of this season, encouraging them to live out the values of compassion, sacrifice, and gratitude in their daily lives.

Additionally, thank you to everyone who helped make our Catholic Schools Week events and open houses a success! We are currently in the midst of enrollment season for the 2025-26 school year! If you are a current family and have not done so already, we encourage you to re-enroll and continue your child’s journey of faith-filled education with us. If you know families seeking a strong academic and spiritual foundation for their children, please share the gift of Siena Catholic Schools with them. To learn more about the enrollment process, connect with a member of our Admissions Team at 262-812-0155 or admissions@sienacatholicschools.org.

Thank you for your continued support, prayers, and commitment to our mission. We are blessed to have such a wonderful community working together to inspire and educate the next generation.

May God bless you and your loved ones in the days ahead

God Bless,

Dr. Sue

P.S. As always, follow Siena on Facebook and get an inside view of our schools through "Dr. Sue's View." Videos are frequently uploaded that illustrate the best our schools have to offer.

Reminder: Inclement Weather

Siena follows Racine Unified for weather-related school and building closures. Once RUSD communicates a closure to Siena Leadership, school principals will be informed and communication will go home via call, text, and email, as well as posted on social media. We will do our best to make announcements in a timely manner. Here is the full document.

Racine Welcomes ArchBishop Grob

We were blessed as Archbishop Grob celebrated Mass and then greeted the couple hundred people in attendance at St. Lucy. Our Catholic community came together to welcome our new archbishop in inspiring ways, and we are praying as a community for Archbishop Grob as he undertakes his new ministry!

Another "Stuff the Bus" Success!

Each year our community collects food for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. These donations go directly to those most in need in our Racine community. This year was a success!

Afterschool Learning Lab at St. Rita

The middle school teachers at St. Rita have teamed up to offer a learning lab for our middle school students, Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will often see group of students working on math, catching up on homework, learning how to use the 3-D printers, or just having good old-fashioned fun with labs.

Yarn and Yak at St. Joe

St. Joe has a new group called "Yarn & Yak" for middle school students who like creating fiber arts projects. Middle schoolers can come to their counselor's office once a week, create art with yarn, and talk in a safe, creative space!

Secret Saints Society at JPIIA

The Secret Saints Society, is an after school club led by Coach Bodi, JPIIA counselor. Some of the activities they have done include: prayerful meditation, calming sparkle jars, and cardio kickboxing.

Angels Prep for the ACT

Some St. Catherine's students took the ACT Writing Prompt Practice Test. For Juniors, it is crucial they practice before the test on March 11. For Seniors, this is a great practice for their AP exam as well!

Cardinal Care Night

Cardinal Care Night was a health and wellness family event.  Participants enjoyed a health salad, exercise Jinga, prayerful meditation and a short presentation from Fr. Richter on prayer.

St. Rita Preps for Math Hoops Tournament

St. Rita's 6th and 7th grade are preparing for the fast approaching Math Hoops regionals.  Math Hoops is an NBA/WNBA sponsored game that works on mathematical skills and strategies to win.  Last year, Carmine C. and Karter P. won the regional competition at Fiserv Forum.  Students have been "training" for the tournament since November, and hope to carry on the winning tradition at regionals in March.

JPIIA's Career Cardinal Tries out A new Job

The JPIIA Career Cardinal took a visit to Zund America. He managed the company’s finances, troubleshooted customer calls, taught customers how to operate the cutting machines, as well as scheduled training. I wonder where he will go to work next!
