SEPTEMBER 2023

St. Rita's Parent Association sponsored a well-attended parent night on Sept. 5. Despite the heat, there were many families in attendance to learn more about our school and our programs.

News From Siena

Dear families and friends of Siena,

What a great start to the 2023-24 school year! While there were hot and steamy days, our teachers and students found all sorts of creative ways to stay cool and keep learning. Some had class in our churches, some in basements, and many (many) had popsicles. I truly was so, so impressed with everyone's efforts.

Now that routines are established, there is much to be proud of: especially for all of the staff, students, and extra volunteers/hands that make our days go smoothly. We completed the first round of our STAR ASSESSMENT in Reading and Math. After the assessment, teachers, principals, and our learning support coordinators review their data by classroom to help guide the learning path for each student. The goal is to ensure that we are providing the academic excellence that your child deserves. As a community, we are here to help your child grow in academics and faith. We are honored to serve as Christ-like ambassadors to your children.

Home and School Connection

I cannot stress enough to read all of the communications that are sent home. Whether that be this newsletter, Class DOJO, checking out your school's website, Facebook, asking/checking your child(ren) book bags for permission slips, and the like. This really helps build the foundation of home and school connections. We want you to be aware of all that is happening in your school community.

God bless,

Dr. Sue Savaglio-Jarvis

President, Siena Catholic Schools

P.S. Follow Siena on Facebook and get an inside view of our schools through "Dr. Sue's View." Videos are frequently uploaded that illustrate the best our schools have to offer.

Mission: Possible!

This month I ask you to ponder this as a parent/guardian, and/or educator:
