These are our most asked questions during our club fair table, recruitment week, and during pledging.
We organize professional events exclusively for our brothers, featuring speakers and recruiters across various fields in business. These events include a range of workshops, such as résumé critiques, teamwork skills, personal brand management, presentation techniques, and more. Each session is designed to provide valuable skills and insights that help our members succeed personally and professionally.
Delta Sigma Pi offers a supportive, driven community where you can grow personally and professionally. Members gain access to valuable networking opportunities, leadership experience, and skill-building events that set them apart. More than anything, DSP provides lasting friendships, shared goals, and a sense of belonging that helps you succeed long after college. Joining DSP means investing in your future and finding a place that feels like home.

Service is one of our core pillars, and our chapter is dedicated to giving back to our campus, community, and local charities. Every month, we volunteer at our local food bank on the first Tuesday, working together to support those in need. Each semester, we join forces with the University at Albany chapter for a cleanup at Littles Lake, contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment. We regularly collect food donations for nearby homeless shelters and food banks, helping to address food insecurity in our area. Additionally, we gather bottle tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House, which we present at our national events each semester, supporting families in need. Service remains at the heart of everything we do, bringing our chapter together with a shared purpose of making a positive impact.
Yes, but in a different way. We are a co-ed professional business fraternity. This means Delta Sigma Pi is specifically focused on the professional development of business students. Its mission includes fostering the study of business, promoting ethical practices, and helping members develop professional skills through networking, workshops, and leadership opportunities.
Not being accepted to pledge the first time doesn’t have to be a setback it can be an opportunity for growth. A first attempt doesn’t define someone’s potential; dedication, improvement, and persistence do. Those who genuinely want to be part of DSP often use the time to better themselves and come back with an even stronger commitment to joining the fraternity.
Delta Sigma Pi is a meaningful but manageable commitment. Members can expect regular chapter meetings, participation in professional and service events, and involvement in brotherhood activities. During the pledge process, the time commitment is typically higher because new members are learning the history, values, and expectations of the fraternity, as well as completing group projects and attending required events. After initiation, the workload levels out and becomes easier to balance with classes, work, and other responsibilities.
