Mission and Action
Our congregation is part of the larger Indiana-Kentucky (InKy) Conference of the United Church of Christ. This page, UCC - About Us, shares what the United Church of Christ is doing.
The InKy Conference is involved in much Mission and Action in the communities of Indiana and Kentucky. The project for our Annual Conference Gathering 2016 was Health Kits for disaster relief, ever so important in the wake of hurricanes, earthquakes and world difficulties. Here is the website.
We are a 5 - for - 5 Congregation! We donate to each of the outreach projects of our Conference and National Church to better the lives of our neighbors in the world. Here is the link to learn more about 5 - for - 5.
As of 7/17/2019 the congregation is a Still Speaking and ONA congregation. See our Covenant Here!
We are one of several Just Peace congregations, a historical UCC movement, in our Conference. Here is the national link to learn more about Just Peace.
The congregation recently worked with our Conference to donate items for "Days for Girls," and international project. There were so many donations left over that personal kits for Church World Service will be put together with new donations of nail clippers, toothbrushes, soap, and other personal supplies.
We are located in the Southeast Association of the InKy Conference. The Conference office is located in Indianapolis.
