The First United Church of Christ (First UCC) in Rising Sun has installed a Little Free Pantry (Blessing Box) behind the church on 5th Street . The mini pantry movement is a grassroots, crowd sourced solution to immediate and local needs. Whether a need for food or a need to give, mini pantries help neighbors feed neighbors, nourishing neighborhoods. It is  a designated, easily accessible space for donation of food, hygiene, and paper products.

“The Little Free Pantry offers a new way for our neighbors in Rising Sun and Ohio County to give what they can and take what they need.” says Lane Siekman. Pastor at First UCC.
