Moose Lodge Staff

Mr. Carra

Mr. Carra is the director of the program and comes from a family of five teachers back on Long Island. He has been at SES for eight years now. His favorite phrase from childhood is still the same today "just one more game!" You can often find him adding a touch of silliness to the groups while always promoting strong values with the team.

Mr. Carra has a Bachelor's in Movement and Sport Sciences and a Master's in Adaptive Physical Education.  It is easy to see that he shares a lot of similar interests with the students as activities are often based on lessons from Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Pokemon.

"Possibly seeing a student from PreK through 6th grade here is like, WOW, where else can you work with a student for eight years straight. It is one of the greatest joys in my life!"

Kay

Kay Washington joined the SES team back in 2020 as a substitute teacher, before becoming apart of the SES team. Kay is a certified licensed  child care provider, owner of  Bright Beginnings 4 Kidz a home daycare which was located in Boston, Ma for over 15 years. Kay provided care for children with Autism, children in DCF, as well working with kids of mixed ages and diversity. This prepared her the opportunity to work with children with different levels of disabilities.  Currently Kay is training  on becoming a licensed Registered  Behavior Technician.  Providing support for children on the spectrum who may need extra support.
