Technology integration has become an integral part of the Lower Division curriculum. Parents and students in Grades 1 through 4 will be able to access the daily schedule and the digital classroom.

Grade 1 will use the Seesaw app in class and at home in conjunction with their school instruction. Students will receive support and training in school for Seesaw.
Grades 2 through 4 will use Google Classroom as their Learning Management System. Students will receive Google School Login accounts with access to many of the GSuite apps, EXCEPT email.
Students will be given many opportunities to learn these new tools throughout their day.

Seesaw

Seesaw is a learning platform that helps parents and teachers to work together to provide students with meaningful learning experiences at school and at home. The first grade teachers will use Seesaw to share learning activities and resources, capture your child’s learning, and communicate about progress and needs. Seesaw has an engaging and easy to use interface. It’s an excellent way for our youngest students to demonstrate their understanding in a variety of ways.

Seesaw will be introduced to your child in class over the next few weeks. To prepare them for access to Seesaw from home parents will need to download 2 apps for Seesaw to be used at home, Seesaw Class app and Seesaw Family app. Both are available for iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire. You can also use Seesaw on Chromebooks or desktop or laptop computers with the Chrome browser.

You will receive an invitation from your child’s teacher. The invite will include either an email link or a QR code.

Google Classroom

This year students in grades 2 through 4 will have access to the Google Suite for Education (GSuite) apps for learning including Google Classroom. Teachers will be sharing their schedules and assignments with students for in-person and remote learning classes. Parents can explore these apps using your child’s school Google account. Invitations to be a “Guardian” will be sent to every parent.

Classroom App

Your child can access their Google Classroom account through any web browser on any device or you can download the Classroom app on iOS, Android, or Chrome devices. Access to the Shulamith domain is limited to only those individuals who have a shulamith.org Google username.

GSuite Apps

Your child will have access to the range of GSuite apps through their Google Classroom accounts. They include Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Calendar, Meets, and Sites. They will NOT have access to Gmail or Hangouts.
