Social Studies ala Cirillo in room 124, will surely be an Adventure in Time and Place as we travel through the 2025-2026 school year!
This year, the students will learn about the importance of culture with an emphasis on celebrating diversity, and learning about the earth through map skills, locations, and the history of ancient civilizations.
The students will use various materials including the text used in all Social Studies classes; Adventures in Time and Place which is the same book my sons used!
The units will begin with learning about the earth with its land and water bodies, Early People (Hunters and Gatherers), to Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, and India.
The students will also learn of the five great world religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism sharing in the similarities and differences to their own belief systems.
