Online Resources
All of the databases SHHS has access to for research are linked here. Many are run by Gale and provided by the state. You can search almost all of those at once using the PowerSearch function.
Some of these databases can only be accessed using a Boston Public Library (BPL) eCard. Anyone who lives, works, or goes to school in Massachusetts can register for a BPL eCard at no cost. Read more about BPL eCards here.

Get Link
If you'd like to simply link back to a database article, don't copy the URL at the top of your browser (it won't work). Instead, use the Get Link feature, and copy that link instead.
Citation Tools
Many databases, including the Gale ones, provide pre-formatted citations on each article. Click on the Cite tool, and copy and paste.Â
Advanced Search
Use advanced search to search multiple keywords at once, and broaden or narrow your search. AND will add a keyword, OR will substitute a keyword, and NOT will exclude a keyword.
