Dinosnores - Natural History Museum
In November I was really lucky to have a sleepover at the Natural History in London. I caught the train with my Dad after school one Friday and met up with my cousin, aunt and uncle and my granny. We had to travel light and travel in the clothes. We would sleep in plus take a pillow and sleeping bag and some snacks for later, they only supplied a camping mat. I had no idea what to expect or where we would be sleeping but it turned out we were all sleeping under the big blue whale when you entered the museum. I slept next to a Gorilla named Guy.
We got sorted into different groups, my family was in the blue t-rex group. We sat and listened to a talk about the history of the museum and about its dinosaurs. I learnt a lot of new things about dinosaurs. We decorated some t-shirts which was great fun. When it was dark we were able to look around the dinosaur gallery. I found this a little scary but my cousin liked it!
Lights went out at midnight, I slept like a baby and found it comfortable but my Dad and Granny were kept awake by others snoring and were not as comfortable as me.
We woke up around 7 am and packed up and headed to the cafe for breakfast. I had a croissant, juice and fruit, and there was coffee for the grown ups. After breakfast we were able to explore the museum before it opened to the public which was pretty cool. We could also pop by the gallery gift shop.
