In this module, learners will learn language to help them talk about their home.
Here are suggested content and activities for 2 sessions. However, you may find that you need to do more sessions for your group due to your learners’ needs and/or the length of your sessions.
Other activities you could do
Visit the local estate agents, letting agents or housing association to pick up information about properties and ask questions
Use brochures or the internet to look at properties for sale and to let in the local area
Use catalogues to choose furniture and say or write descriptions.

In this session, learners will study vocabulary for different types of home and ask and answer questions.
Language focus
In this session, you will be focussing on talking about learners’ homes using questions and answers in the present simple such as:
Where do you live? / I live in … .
Do you live in a house or a flat? / I live in a .. .
Who do you live with? / I live with … .
Is there a … ? / There’s a/an … . / There isn’t a/an ..
Are there any … ? / There are … . / There aren’t … .
Encourage your learners to use the e-learning activities here at home.
In this session, learners will practise vocabulary and say what is and isn’t inside a home.

In this session, you will be focussing on talking about learners’ homes using questions and answers in the present simple such as:
Where is the … ? / It’s in the … .
Where do you … ? / In the … .
What colour is the … ? / It’s … .
Is it big/small, old/new, tidy/messy, clean/dirty?
