Shipley College, Womenzone, QED, Safety First and Meridian Centre offer ESOL Courses and Activities all over Bradford to help people learn English, access services and get involved in the community.
Our project runs from October 2022 to September 2025.
If you need to learn English, you can come to one of our Bridging the Gap (BtG) ESOL Courses. We offer courses in community centres, libraries, schools and children’s centres all over Bradford.
On a Bridging the Gap ESOL Course, you will improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. All of our courses are for beginners.
You can also practise speaking English, meet other people and learn other things at one of our BtG Activities.
We train and support people to volunteer as an ESOL teacher.
We offer a free, 6 week non accredited teacher training course for people who want to volunteer with the project. The course will provide the basic skills, knowledge and resources you need to teach ESOL in the community.
Once you have completed your training course, we will arrange a suitable teaching placement for you in a community setting across Bradford. Please note that almost all our classes are held between school hours.
Please note our volunteering opportunities have now closed.
