1Sherwood Cass R-VIII participates in the Title IIA program at the K-12 level. The goals of the program are:
Increase student achievement consistent with the Missouri Learning Standards,
Improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders,
Increase the number of teachers, principals, and other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools; and
Provide economically deprived and minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders.
For the 2022-23 School Year the District will focus on:

Teacher professional development
Peer observations activities
Teachers and administrator attendance and participation at the Powerful Learning Conference
Transfer of funds from Title IIA to Title IVA and/or Title IA to support those programs
