Hearing about the students opinions on the opening of the new business, Chick-Fil-A

Starting October 9th, Chick-Fil-A will be ready and open for Sherwood's community. This will be the newest restaurant that opens, that means lines are going to be very long. 

“I don't think I'll be going on the first day because it's going to be very busy. The lines are going to be out the waters and I'm not trying to be late to class," senior Blake Larsen said. "But I think it's good for the business of Sherwood and a lot people are going to go to Sherwood. It's pretty good chicken,” Larsen said.

Chick-Fil-A is widely known for saying “My pleasure”, instead of “You're welcome”. They also have a different style of cooking chicken where the food is completely fresh and never frozen, which changes the way it tastes.

“I'm definitely going on the first day because I love the chicken sandwiches and nuggets from how good and juicy they are,” sophomore Logan Wood said.

Rapid expansion is important for companies and is expected with restaurants. With Chick-Fil-A having around 500 locations in Texas, Oregon is expected to have up to 20 locations.  With only 16 current locations it creates more demand for chicken.

“I'm excited about the Chick-Fil-A opening in the Sherwood area, I however will not be there on the first day of the grand opening, but I am delighted to partake in some delicious chicken sandwiches and milkshakes,” junior Levi Klostreich said.

Excitement is going through the roof for many people including the students and Chick-Fil-A is running a promotion only on the first day where if you dress as a cow you get a free entree. 

 “I'm really excited, other than it's going to be really busy the first two weeks, I won't be there because I don't want to wait in line for two hours,” sophomore Connor Halverson said.
