Celebrating Our World Village - 10th Anniversary!

We created our first SHENsational: Global Expo in 2010 as a way to prepare students for a global marketplace. As Superintendent Dr. Robinson said, “We wanted to start doing things that truly provided exposure and celebrated that global perspective.” We began our annual tradition of highlighting workshops, presentations, cultural performances in dance and music, poetry, art, storytelling, games and activities. Over the past ten years, thousands of families have experienced the thrill of tasting a new food, trying out a new musical instrument, getting their face painted, seeing a friend in traditional dress, learning a new language, listening to music or watching a dance performance. These transformational moments helped everyone feel welcome and celebrated as part of our Shen community. We hope you enjoy our SHENsational Snapshots, created to commemorate our 10th anniversary.
