The Chromebook is not a typical computer. Instead of running software or applications by clicking the Applications folder, except in limited capacities, you will need to almost always be connected to the Internet to use this computer.
The other major difference between a Chromebook and a regular computer is that when you login, you will only be using the Google Chrome web browser. If you aren't already familiar with this web browser, it may be slightly different than what you are used to. A big difference between using it and other web browsers like Firefox, and Edge is that it allows you to sync across different computers. This means that once you sign in to your Chromebook and create bookmarks or add applications and extensions, they can follow you to an entirely different computer. It doesn't even have to be a Chromebook for it to work. You just need to log in to Google Chrome on any computer and everything you were working on will follow you to the new computer. You'll just need to remember your Google email address (username) and your password for this to work.
We currently have two different models of Chromebooks we are using in our division. They are the Dell 3100 and Dell 3110.
