Check-out Policies
Loan Periods
Books/eBooks/Audiobooks -- 14 days
Reference/Special Reserve books -- 1 day (overnight)
Circulation
3 items maximum, not including digital resources accessed through Sora.
Books may be renewed for up to 2 additional loan periods.
Books that have been placed on hold by another student will only be renewed for 1 additional loan period.
Students may place a hold on up to 5 items they wish to reserve.
Overdue, Damaged, and Lost Books
Overdue Books
Check out privileges are suspended until all overdue books are returned.
Overdue notices are sent to ELA classes weekly.
Overdue emails are sent to students and parents weekly.
Damaged Books
Damaged items should be returned to the media center for repair.
Students will be expected to pay for items that are damaged due to abuse or neglect.
Lost Books
Hardback fiction or biography – $20.00
Paperback – $15.00
Non-fiction or reference books – current cost
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Any willful misuse or abuse of computers or other technological devices will be considered a violation of the Shelby County Acceptable Use Policy and will be dealt with according to the procedures outlined in the “Shelby County Student Code of Conduct and Attendance.”
