Loan Periods

• Books/eBooks/Audiobooks -- 14 days

• Reference/Special Reserve books -- 1 day (overnight)

Circulation 

• 3 items maximum, not including digital resources accessed through Sora.

• Books may be renewed for up to 2 additional loan periods.

  • Books that have been placed on hold by another student will only be renewed for 1 additional loan period.

• Students may place a hold on up to 5 items they wish to reserve.

Overdue Books

• Check out privileges are suspended until all overdue books are returned.

• Overdue notices are sent to ELA classes weekly.

• Overdue emails are sent to students and parents weekly.

Damaged Books

• Damaged items should be returned to the media center for repair.  

• Students will be expected to pay for items that are damaged due to abuse or neglect.

Lost Books

• Hardback fiction or biography – $20.00 

• Paperback – $15.00

• Non-fiction or reference books – current cost

Any willful misuse or abuse of computers or other technological devices will be considered a violation of the Shelby County Acceptable Use Policy and will be dealt with according to the procedures outlined in the “Shelby County Student Code of Conduct and Attendance.”
