The Highlights
We are now in the beginning of Year 2 of the UVAC study and have several exciting updates to share. Firstly, the analysis of routinely collected GP data in Work Package 1 is now complete. An accessible summary of the findings will be available in the coming weeks. We have also submitted a paper for publication that fully details these findings.
From the analysis of WP1, we have selected our six cases for the in-depth case study work of Work Package 2, which officially began in September of this year! Recruitment for the first stage of data collection is now open for each of our six case studies and we have completed a few initial interviews. We are working closely with the Research Delivery Networks (RDNs) in our areas of interest who are supporting recruitment. In addition, we submitted the protocol of WP2 for publication in October.
Engagement with the Public, Patients and Professionals
Over the last few months we have been meeting with our PPIE and advisory groups, as well as our steering committee, to provide updates and begin dissemination plans for the WP1 analysis. We have also begun our methods training with our PPIE advisors that will be engaging in the analysis of the interviews in the case study work.
Also, our Study Page on the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire and Humber is now live! You can check it out here.
Timeline Check-in
We remain on schedule, with the next 10-16 months focused on WP2.
Up Next...
We are looking forward to continuing to disseminate the findings from WP1. We will be continuing our work on the case studies (WP2), with an aim to have some preliminary findings in the first part of 2026. We will be posting new updates as the case studies progress!
