Education and training are central to the development of world-leading research. This site is a resource for all individuals involved in the translational research of the NIHR Sheffield BRC.
The NIHR Sheffield BRC training programme provides a range of training and career development opportunities for all staff involved in clinical research; one of our objectives is to train the next generation of research leaders and prepare them for the future of healthcare. The NIHR Sheffield BRC is committed to supporting people who have demonstrated exceptional academic abilities, strong research potential, and a deep commitment to advancing translational research.
Investing in research capacity development is essential to the long-term success of research. We aim to increase the number of staff engaging in clinical academic research through enhancing and highlighting the readily available support, alongside an offering of new opportunities and programmes. We run a dedicated BRC Training Academy to support the next generation of researchers though BRC-supported PhD studentships, clinical research fellowships and formal training schemes for Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHPs). We also support those at later stages in their research career who are keen to progress to the next stage.
