We kicked things off at the Social Policy Research Summit at Sheffield that day! It was amazing to see so many faces! We thanked Dr. Liam Foster for introducing social policy and talking to us from the SPA 

Our first speaker of the day was Prof. Tony Ryan who talked to us about the Grantham Centre and the impact of science on social policy. 

Next up was Dr. Nathan Hughes, who talked to us about the use of transdisciplinary knowledge to influence policy.

Following that, Dr Kris Kortsen spoke about the 'One Bin to Rule Them All' project and how he was using @ScientistsCoa to interact with policymakers.

There were some great discussions happening in our second group activity of the day, with flash talks underway!
