Using hydroponics means that you don't need to have a garden or an allotment plot to grow food - indeed you can grow your own food indoors, and the tools to do that are easily available to anyone. In our first webinar, Harry will explain how hydroponics work and he will show a practical demonstration and explain how you can grow food using this method at home. He also wrote a great blog article for us to accompany the webinar that you can read here.
In the webinar, Harry will also talk about his PhD research on recyclable polymer foams used as synthetic soils. He has also been involved in the Desert Garden project which is teaching the residents of Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan how to grow plants in mattresses. You can read more about Harry's experience in Za'atari in his blog article.
