Sheffield Food Banks
On this link you can find a comprehensive list of food banks in Sheffield, sorted by post code. You can also donate to the Sheffield Foodbank Network or a food bank of your choice which is especially important now during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hicks Green Impact team are organising a crowdfunding campaign to donate to local food banks in Sheffield in order to offer some support to food banks working to tackle hunger in our local communities.
Food Works Sheffield - you can collect surplus boxes from several different locations in Sheffield for a minimum donation of £1. They also cook meals that can be collected from their Sharrow location.
Foodhall project - community kitchen and public dining space in Sheffield that has been delivering food parcels to people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Two Grantham Centre PhD students volunteer in Foodhall and they gave an interview about their experience.

Social Pickle’s Quick Guide to Pickling published in Now Then Magazine will tell you all about how to preserve food by pickling it. Social Pickle is a Foodhall project aiming to bring people together to share the joys of foraging, fermenting, pickling and producing. You can follow them on Instagram here.
