Spring onions are really easy to grow - our team member Jana has been growing them in soil but you can also grow them hydroponically. All you need to do is buy some spring onions in a shop and cut off approx. 1,5 inch of the end with the roots. Then plant these ends at a depth of around half an inch into soil (with the rest of the cut off poking out), water thoroughly and put it on a sunny window sill. Keep watering every few days. And voila - after only about 2 weeks you have grown tasty spring onions that you can harvest and eat!
