Committee

Eloise Bray

Eloise is a second year ACCE DTP PhD student in the School of Mathematics and Statistics (SoMaS) at the University of Sheffield. Her research is into novel techniques for modelling individual animal movement in continuous time. Primary research areas are Bayesian statistics and statistical ecology. As lead organiser, Eloise's roles for the conference include accommodation and room bookings, catering, and sponsorship.

Dominic Grainger

Dominic is a second-year PhD student at the University of Sheffield. In his research, he is trying to speed up the fitting of continuous-time models of animal movement by rigorously approximating pre-existing fully Bayesian methods. His primary academic interests are Bayesian statistics and movement ecology. Dominic's responsibilities include logistics, communications, and social activity planning.

James Salsbury

James is a second year PhD student in SoMaS at the University of Sheffield. His research is in the field of medical statistics, looking at Bayesian alternatives to power calculations to inform sample sizes for clinical trials. As such, his interests are Bayesian statistics, prior elicitation and adaptive clinical trials. James' roles for the conference include website design, the conference booklet and finance.

Abdulmajeed Alharbi

Abdulmajeed is a second year PhD student at the University of Sheffield. His research of interest is around modelling and inferring stochastic processes driven by ecological applications. Especially, he is working on the intersection between statistics and computation for developing fast and efficient statistical methods for detecting the turning points in an animal trajectories. Abdulmajeed's responsibilities for the conference include abstract submission and plenary speakers.
