About the project  

I am a first-year postgraduate research student with The University of Sheffield and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).

My main research foci are motion control algorithms for robotics and CNC machining for ultra-precision applications, as well as model-based and data-driven control for advanced manufacturing.

Having accrued around two years of industrial experience developing software and embedded control systems, my academic research values are based on high-impact research, ergo solving industry problems in a simple and easily implementable manner.

Being part of RAMS Lab is a way for me to collaborate with other early career researchers interested in autonomous manufacturing systems, whilst allowing me to gain invaluable mentorship skills that are key to my own self-growth.

The facilities we have within our lab are of industry standard, and thus serve as a proving ground for testing my own low-TRL research and translating it into industry-ready solutions.
