I was passionate about joining PinC because I love philosophy, and I wanted to share my love of the subject with others. I joined PinC because of my passion for public philosophy and building community through philosophical dialogue. I have done research on philosophical enquiry with secondary students as an undergraduate student in the States. I am strongly invested in making big ideas accessible to everyone, particuarly those in marginalised communities. I am a string believer that everyone is a philosopher!
Role: Volunteers Secretary

I joined PinC because I believe Philosophy should be accessible to everyone as it is an interesting subject that is normally forgotten or put in with religion despite being a diverse, separate subject. I am also passionate about increasing skills like critical thinking which are developed through philosophy and are more important than ever in the world we live in today.

I strongly believe that studying philosophy can improves ones life and lead to not only intellectual development, but also to new personal insights into the things that matter the most.
Role: Outreach Officer
Time with PinC: 2024 - Present
I joined PinC to gain experience with the local community as I want to work in the charity/ grassroots not for profits when I graduate. PinC is the perfect oppourtunity to do so and combine this with my passion for philosophy and education. I enjoy a broad range of philosophical areas but tend to focus my studies on political philosophy and applied ethics.
Role: Treasurer
Time with PinC: 2024 - Present
I decided to join PinC because I felt that I could genuinely make a difference with my area of interest in philosophy by being part of the program. Being from a working class background, philosophy was never a priority in school, so I hope to change that.
Role: Social Secretary
Time with PinC: 2025 - Present
I joined PinC because I love philosophy so much and I'm passionate about talking to anyone and everyone about my interests. My friend was telling me how PinC was the reason she is doing her philosophy degree now and I think it's very important to talk about your passions in life and share them with others, especially as they can be so impactful and inspiring for young students in particular.
Role: Publicity Officer
Time with PinC: 2024 - Present
I joined PinC for the opportunity to spread my passion for philosophy to those who might not have engaged with the subject before and show others how valuable it can be. My favourite areas of philosophy are animal ethics, existentialism and philosophy of art.
