This module will take the research that students covered in LAS355 Researching China 1, and allow them to develop a research output on an individual project. Skills around creative outputs will be taught, allowing students to produce digital items such as posters, podcasts, "un-essays" and other creative media to communicate their research findings.

Critical thinking - you will enhance your critical thinking skills as you apply the models and insights developed in LAS355 Researching China 1 to the collection/creation and analysis of your source material,
Research and Independent Study - this is central to the work of the module, in the planning and delivery of your chosen output, and will require a high level of teamwork, and time/project management as well as understanding of appropriate methods and associated ethical issues.
Communication and Academic Writing - oral communication and discussion of ideas will be central to your work on content; preparation of your output will require that you think about how best to communicate your findings - using text, image and other forms - to an audience.
