General Welfare Support at UoS

• Student Online Support Hub - Redirects to several types of more specific support offered by the uni

• Report + Support - University service for reporting incidences of harassment, bullying, or hate crime (this can be done anonymously)

• A to Z of Uni and SU Support Services - List of 13 services provided by the Uni and SU with descriptions

• Health and Wellbeing - Information and resources on a variety of wellbeing-related topics including but not limited to healthy relationships, eating disorders, support for student sex workers, and gambling. (Note: Some of the information here may be outdated)

Non-UoS Support Groups and Organisations

• Sheena Amos Youth Trust (SAYiT) - Grassroots charity that provides emotional wellbeing support for LGBTQ young people in Sheffield

• The Rainbow Project - Social support group for young LGBT+ people in Yorkshire, based in Rotheram

• Mermaids - National organisation for transgender youth and their parents (including support lines)

• Switchboard - National LGBTQIA+ support line available for calls, emails, or online chat

• Welfare and Inclusions Form - This form is for reporting any welfare-related or inclusion-related complaints, issues, or feedback relating to LGBTQ+ Society (this can be done anonymously)

Identity Reps

Our society has various elected Identity Reps. Their role is to represent their constituent groups within our Society Committee to ensure all voices are heard, as well as running inclusions socials for their group.
