Applied Clinical Education (ACE)
Six week rotation in Phase 3a (third year) which is designed to enable deeper learning and understanding of the care theme.
ACE curriculum will cover:
Women's Health
Psychiatry
Neurology/Geriatrics
Child Health
Community/Public Health
Sessions include formal seminar teaching, small group work, communication skills and integrated learning activities focusing on increasing clinical understanding of the above specialties.
Primary Care Input: Wednesday morning sessions are small group tutorials facilitated by a General Practitioner. The small group sessions include:
learning using virtual primary care ( a bank of professionally recorded primary care consultations) with discussion and learning around professionalism and patient safety
Communication skills training based around the Phase 3a theme.
