Gambling Research Glasgow (GRG) is a leading interdisciplinary research group dedicated to understanding gambling practices and reducing gambling-related harm. Drawing on expertise from across the social sciences, public health, policy and statistics, GRG produces rigorous, independent research that informs policy, practice and public debate. Founded in 2020, GRG has quickly established an international reputation for policy-relevant research and now hosts the UKRI-funded Gambling Harms Research UK Evidence Centre. Working collaboratively with national and international partners, the group addresses the complex social, economic and health drivers of gambling harm to generate evidence that makes a real-world difference.

The Sheffield Addictions Research Group (SARG) is an internationally-recognised centre of excellence for interdisciplinary research on the public health and health economic aspects of addiction-related substances and behaviour. SARG’s innovative research on alcohol, tobacco and gambling spans modelling the effects of policy interventions to understanding complex human behaviour and has directly shaped legislation and public health strategies in the UK and internationally. The GREAT Centre at Swansea University is a world-leading centre of excellence for research on gambling behaviour and gambling-related harm. It oversees basic, applied, translational and clinical treatment research to mitigate the impact of gambling-related harm for individuals, families, and communities. GREAT Centre members co-create and disseminate their policy-led work with the support and input of those with lived experience of gambling harm.
