The SME Summer Internship Programme is exclusive to the Equal Opportunities in Careers cohort, and offers paid work experience opportunities, in collaboration with SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) and charities within the Sheffield Region. 

Applications open at the beginning of Semester 2


eMentoring is a virtual 3-month scheme, open each semester, and aims to matches you with Sheffield alumni in a role or industry that interests you. 


Sheffield Insights offers you the chance to meet and learn from inspirational and successful Sheffield alumni. You can expect to increase your confidence when networking with employers.

Forage Logo

The University is partnered with Forage to bring you free virtual work experience programmes at industry leading organisations like HSBC, Goldman Sachs and Red Bull. 

KPMG Employability Skills

This programme will provide you with the opportunity to develop your employability skills and learn more about what KPMG looks for in our people.

It will be delivered virtually on Microsoft Teams and runs from 15 November to 14 December 2023, across 5 sessions.

Code First Girls is open to anyone who identifies as female or non-binary and offers free Kickstarter Courses for popular coding programmes such as Java and Python as well as app development. Bit of a coding wiz? They also run sprints and challenges too. When registering, make sure to use the code: UPSHE
