This event is designed to give Equal Opportunities students the chance to meet inspiring Sheffield alumni working in various industries who were also Equal Opportunities students, with the aim of showing students how far they can go despite their disadvantaged backgrounds.

Practice Recruitment Experience | 18th February | Morning or Afternoon Session | Bramall Lane
The Practice Recruitment Experience is coming back for a spring edition and your invited! If you’re looking to take part in mock interviews, a mock assessment centre group task, and a practice presentation to prepare for the job recruitment process, you won’t want to miss this.
You’ll have the opportunity to take part in a half-day event at Sheffield Bramall Lane Football Stadium, just 20 minutes from campus, where you will:
Practise your skills in a safe and supportive environment
Speak one to one with a careers adviser
Have a professional LinkedIn headshot taken
Receive a personalised feedback report from former recruiters, including suggestions for improvement!

The Equal Opportunities Fund helps Equal Opportunities students carry out work experience by subsidising any expenses involved. Students can apply for up to £300 for anything from travel expenses in order to attend a conference to smart clothing.

The British Judo Association is looking for student volunteers to help run the British Schools Championship. Available roles include camera operation (live streaming), stewarding, event management and coordination, photography, and more.
No previous work experience is required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to gain valuable, hands on experience in this field!
