This talent development pathway is run by UK registered talent development and education charity, Generating Genius and National Grid. This programmes offers paid Summer Internships and Spring & Summer Insight weeks in engineering, technology, finance and data for 2026/27 graduates. The Spring Insight and Application Preparation Programme is from 30th March to 1st April 2026 with the first two days being ran virtually and the third in person at National Grid HQ in Warwick. All travel expenses and food for the in-person day will be provided!
This is followed by the 6 week Paid Summer Internship which takes place from 29th June - 7th August 2026. The summer internships are exclusively for those on the programme. Students must live a commutable distance to Leamington Spa (Warwickshire) for most roles. There will also be a small number of Engineering Project Management roles in Leeds, Manchester, and Durham.
