Glenn Waller
Glenn Waller is Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Sheffield, UK. His clinical and academic specialism is evidence-based CBT for eating disorders, with a particular emphasis on effective treatment in routine clinical settings. He has published over 370 peer-reviewed papers, 27 book chapters and six books in the field. He was an author on the CBT-T manual (2019), which resulted in the team being awarded the Academy for Eating Disorders Outstanding Clinician Award in 2020. He regularly presents workshops at national and international meetings. He is past president of the Academy for Eating Disorders and of the Eating Disorders Research Society, and is on the editorial boards of a number of journals relating to eating disorders and to CBT. He was a member of the NICE Eating Disorders Guideline Development Group, responsible for the 2017 update.
Kamryn T. Eddy
Dr. Eddy is the Cable-Rubenstein Professor of Psychology in the Field of Eating Disorders in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, the Associate Chief in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Mass General Brigham, and the Co-Director of the Eating Disorders Clinical and Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her NIH- and foundation-funded research focuses on understanding the pathophysiology of restrictive eating disorders and using this knowledge to develop and test new treatments. She has written more than 225 scientific papers and two books describing her novel ARFID treatment including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder: Children, Adolescents, and Adults, and The Picky Eater’s Recovery Book. Dr. Eddy is also well-known for her longitudinal research, having led an outcome study of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa documenting recovery rates over 25 years. She has served as President of the Eating Disorders Research Society and received research awards for her scientific contributions to the field.
Charlotte L. Rose
Charlotte Rose is a Principal Psychological Therapist with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust Community Eating Disorders Service, and also in private practice. Charlotte has worked in mental health services for over 20 years, initially as a nurse, and then as a therapist. Charlotte is accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) as a therapist and supervisor, and also registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a psychoanalytic / psychodynamic psychotherapist. Charlotte has an interest in eating disorders in marginalised groups, including those who are racially / ethnically minoritised; LGBTQ+; and those potentially diagnosed with personality disorder. Charlotte’s doctoral research explored how bisexual people made sense of their eatingdisorders.
Jennifer J. Thomas
Dr. Jennifer Thomas is Co-director of the Eating Disorders Clinical and Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Thomas’s research and clinical work focus on restrictive eating disorders and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. The clinical assessments and cognitive-behavioral treatment that she has developed to support individuals with avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder are currently used in all 50 states and four continents and have been translated into several languages. She has published >200 scientific articles and five books, and is principal investigator on several studies investigating the neurobiology and treatment of restrictive eating disorders, funded by the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health and private foundations. She has served as President of the Academy for Eating Disorders, President of the Eating Disorders Research Society, and Associate Editor for the International Journal of Eating Disorders.
Hannah M. Turner
Hannah Turner is Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead of the Hampshire Adult Community Eating Disorders Service, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. She is an experienced clinician who has worked in the eating disorders field for over 25 years. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and was a co-author on the CBT-T manual (2019). Hannah is a British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) accredited therapist and supervisor, and she has served on several national committees including the NICE Eating Disorders Guideline Development Group (2017) and the Expert Reference Group for the Adult Eating Disorder Commissioning Guidance (2019). She is currently on the editorial review board for the International Journal of Eating Disorders.
Tracey D. Wade
Matthew Flinders Distinguished Professor Tracey Wade has worked as a clinician and researcher in mental health for over 30 years. She is the director of the Flinders University Services for Eating Disorders. She has cowritten 4 books on cognitive behaviour therapy for eating disorders and perfectionism and has over 300 publications in peer reviewed journals. In 2015 she was elected a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia. In 2023 she was the recipient of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy Distinguished Career Award. In 2025 she received the Academy of Eating Disorders Leadership Award in Research, the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Australian Psychological Society Distinguished Contribution to Psychological Science Award. Over 2024 to 2028 she is supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council Investigator Grant 2025665.
