I work across the Faculty supporting academic staff in embedding learning technologies across modules and programs, I provide pedagogic advice, and evaluate new technologies to enhance the learning experience.
My role also involves collaborating with the Faculty Learning and Teaching team, promoting digital learning, and supporting staff and students' professional development.
I'm particularly interested in virtual learning environments and learning design.
As the Faculty Digital Learning Officer, I’m passionate about enhancing teaching and learning through technology. I provide training and support to empower academics, staff and students on digital tools and platforms, including Blackboard VLE.
My focus is on creating inclusive and innovative learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of our community.
With expertise in game-based learning, gamification, digital multimedia, and Artificial Intelligence, I'm dedicated to supporting our faculty in embracing innovative and immersive teaching and learning practices.
I provide technological, pedagogical, I.T. and AV support for staff and students. I also provide one-to-one support, technical induction and collective training and demonstrations in the use of systems, software, and equipment available.
I promote the innovative use of technological resources and tools for learning and teaching amongst teaching staff, identifying specialist emerging technologies, software and resources and facilitate their introduction, and provide specialist expertise in implementing and using learning technologies.
As the Faculty Digital Learning Assistant for the Arts and Humanities, I’m here to help both staff and students maximise the use of our digital learning tools. Whether you need assistance in Blackboard, Turnitin for assessments, or PebblePad for portfolio development, I provide guidance and help troubleshoot any problems you may have to ensure a seamless experience.
My role is to help the Arts and Humanities make the most of our digital resources, whether it’s addressing technical questions or exploring new ways to enhance learning and engagement alongside James & Sita.
