What is in the Alfred Denny Collection?

The Alfred Denny Collection is the collective name that encompasses all of our specific collections and other items we hold in the museum.

Teaching has always been the primary aim of the museum and so the museum includes organisms from all major animal taxonomic groups, as well as a large herbarium. This is to highlight the diversity of the natural world, showcase the variation of body forms resulting from adaptation to specific ecological niches, alongside illustrating the evolutionary history of animal life.
