This year, enrolment will begin after Results Day on 23rd August 2024
By enrolment, all applicants should have already had an interview. Interviews will run until the end of June. Please contact us for any queries related to interviews.
If your student is a late applicant or has missed their interview, please see the bottom of this page for further information
Once they have been offered a place, applicants can start the pre-enrolment process on Prospect.
This populates our system with their details and creates a learner record for them.
Pre-enrolment can also be completed at enrolment, however, completing this beforehand will save them time during the enrolment process.
Enrolment is in-person and will start from 23rd August 2024. Applicants with an offer will be invited by letter and email to an enrolment slot.
If student's are unable to attend their enrolment date, they should let the Admissions team know as soon as possible; they should detail why they are unable to attend and dates they are available. Please note, during enrolment places are offered on a first-come first-serve basis.
Don't forget exam results! We will not be able to enrol applicants without evidence of their exam results.
Results issued digitally can be emailed to admissions@sheffcol.ac.uk with the student's name and DOB included in the subject.
Induction starts the week commencing 9th September 2024. Applicants will be given further details relating to their induction during their enrolment.
Young People who have not achieved as they had expected...
Students who do not get the grades they were expecting on GCSE results day (whether these are better or worse than expected) should still come into their enrolment session, they can discuss their results and course options with members of the curriculum staff.
In vocational areas, applicants will usually be guaranteed a place on the course at a level above or below the one they were initially offered.
A-Level applicants can consider a vocational course alternative if they do not get the required grades.
Our qualified careers advisers are available at all of our enrolment sessions to offer information, advice, and guidance to students to help them follow their career plans even if they didn't get the grades they were expecting
Applicants who have not been offered a place because they have missed interview dates or are a late applicant, will be invited into an information session during the enrolment period.
This will include
An opportunity to have an interview for a course they are interested in
Information, Advice and guidance for those who are not sure what they would like to study
Please note, enrolments are subject to interview, course availability, and suitability.
