The point of these sessions is to bring individuals with common interests together to engage in a dialogue/discussion on the given topic. The plan is to have teachers attend two sessions of their choosing. However, teachers should feel free to move as needed to meet their individual needs. The sessions will be available during BOTH rotations (except for the Family Service Disability Waiver Info session which will span both sessions).
While each session will have designated facilitators, the sessions will be driven by the participants. It is our hope that participants will share what they have learned on the topic, ask questions of others, reflect on how South Harrison is performing, and brainstorm how South Harrison can grow in the given area. As the discussions progress, it is our hope that needs for further professional development will also be identified.
Participants will find a link to a shared Google Doc under each of the session titles. Participants are encouraged to open this document and record important parts of the discussion, questions that still need answers, and thoughts about the continued need for additional training or work in this area.
