Sport Expectations

St Hilda’s Sport Expectations for Students & Parents

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that SHCS sport is an organised and well run activity which involves dedicated individuals who are committed to making sport and physical activity available to all students no matter what ability. Being a member of a St Hilda's sport team and representing your school in any co curricular activity is a privilege, not a right. Therefore, students will be removed from teams if they are not adhering to the expectations, values and the SHCS code of conduct

Objective:

To ensure that our school values underpin all the we do in sport and can be transferred to other areas in life: Be You, Better Together, Explore Faith and Can Do.

To give opportunity for participation in competitive or social activities and to create a sporting culture of pride and passion in every individual.

To develop positive sporting attitudes where participation, sportsmanship and safety is upheld.

St Hilda’s Collegiate has a proud history of our students committing to their sports. It is expected that once the student has been named in a team that they are committed to attending all training and games that are expected within that sport. Whether the team is in a competitive or social grade the commitment is the same. The school provides a large number of volunteer coaches and managers and therefore we expect the students to let them know of any unavailability during the season with a reasonable amount of notice.
