Coach Kaz has lived in Knoxville for 7 years and is a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Parish and School. He and his wife, Michele, have six children, five of whom have attended or graduated from Sacred Heart.

With 25 years of coaching experience across multiple sports—football, basketball, and softball—Coach Kaz brings a wealth of knowledge to our program. His past coaching roles include:

Middle School Girls and Boys Basketball at St. Paul (Westerville, OH)
Girls 7th and 8th Grade Competitive Teams
Boys AAU Competitive Team
Most recently, coaching Elementary and Middle School Girls teams in the WBBL

Coach Kaz is passionate about helping athletes develop their skills and integrate personal growth with team success. Off the court, he enjoys family time, board games, movie nights, and reading.

Alex Collazo

Hello, my name is Alex Collazo, and I am truly honored to be the new assistant coach for the Lady Eagles' varsity squad. This will be my second year with varsity, and with lots of hard work, the Lady Eagles could have a successful year.

A little about myself, I am a native of Brooklyn, New York, where I was born and raised. I had started playing basketball very late—8th grade, to be exact. I wish I had started earlier like these ladies, and this is what I say to them all the time. They are way ahead of the game than I've ever been. In high school, I quickly learned the game and had a successful career with the game of basketball. I became Mr. Basketball for the state of New York and led my team to a state title in Niagara Falls, New York. I played college basketball as well, where I've learned so much from so many coaches. Played with some of the best in the world, including Mr. Vince Carter, Mr. Stephon Marbury, Mr. Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, and the late Mr. Kobe Bryant. I tried for the G-League in the NBA but got cut in my first week of tryouts. It has been an experience for me, and I am happy to teach others all about what it takes to become a great basketball player.

Again, my goal is for this Lady Eagles team to become the best that they can be at the game of basketball and to learn how fun it can be for all. I thank God every day I have this opportunity to coach and to teach kids that with hard work and prayer to our savior, anything is possible. Also, thank you Sacred Heart Cathedral School for this opportunity.

Blake fryar

Coach Blake will be heading up the JV Girls team and working with our boys teams. Blake is a dedicated coach with a passion for developing young athletes. Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Blake has a deep-rooted connection to the local basketball community. He spent four years as a team manager and analyst for the McCallie School basketball program, gaining valuable insights into the game.

Blake has also honed his coaching skills at St. John Neumann and has been a dedicated coach at various sports camps throughout the summer. His commitment to player development is evident in his ability to connect with athletes of all ages and backgrounds.

Currently pursuing a Sports Management degree at the University of Tennessee with a focus on youth sports and athletic program management, Blake is driven to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes. He is excited to bring his enthusiasm, knowledge, and experience to our basketball programs.
