Exploring Local Watersheds: Phenomena, AI, and Climate Science in the Classroom
A CREEC North "Nature's Narrative" Workshop
Join us for a day dedicated to enhancing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) through nature journaling and discourse strategies. Participants will engage in nature journaling activities that foster self-awareness, reflection, and emotional connection with nature. You'll explore how to integrate SEL practices with nature-based learning and gain practical tools to encourage student engagement and discourse in the classroom. This workshop is designed to help educators create a supportive, reflective learning environment that promotes both emotional and academic growth. Registration

Exploring Local Watersheds: Phenomena, AI, and Climate Science in the Classroom
Join us for an engaging, hands-on workshop focused on local watersheds, where you'll explore region-specific phenomena, conduct an erosion experiment, and dive into real-world questions like, "How is Changing Rainfall Affecting Our Local Watershed?" You'll also experience an AI introduction to discover how it connects to watersheds and supports your teaching and investigations. The day concludes with reflection and practical tools for connecting climate science to your classroom. This workshop is designed to empower educators with resources, strategies, and knowledge to integrate environmental literacy into their lessons effectively. Registration
