Professional Learning
$1,000 stipend per teacher upon completion
$200 per teacher toward resources
Networking Opportunities
Minimum of 12 hrs of Professional Learning provided by Shasta COE (Participants choose the PL!)
Completion of a PDSA project (Monthly coaching provided)
Attend monthly coaching check-in meetings virtually and/or at your school
Small Schools need 2 or more teachers.
Large schools need 3 or more teachers.
The vision of the Shasta-MSCS grant aims to give Shasta County educators the training and support they need to use effective strategies that boost student learning and engagement in math, science, and computer science.

Plan, Do, Study, Act Cycle of Continuous Improvement
Attend monthly coaching check-in meetings virtually and/or at your school and be prepared to share their PDSA work during these meetings.
Consistently engage in a chosen change project(s) utilizing the PDSA cycle. This could involve implementing a new practice, strategy, routine, tool, or method, or modifying a lesson to enhance student engagement. The project should align with the content of their professional learning workshops and hold personal significance.
Implementation Coaching
Reflecting on the change being tested in your PDSA cycle yields significant value. Following the four steps helps dissect the task, evaluate outcomes, make improvements, and test again with the same, similar, or entirely new changes. This grant offers monthly sessions for reflection with an implementation coach and other colleagues in the grant.
