Schoology & PowerSchool

Many students wonder what the difference is between Schoology & PowerSchool.  Both are important for you to learn to use.  Schoology is what is called a Learning Management System (LMS).  It is where students can access content and assignments for all of their courses.  This is where you go to check for communication from teachers on any upcoming assignments and resources that you will need to be successful in class. PowerSchool, on the other hand, is what is called a Student Information System (SIS).  It houses information about you, including contact information, your course schedule, attendance, and grades from your current as well as previous courses.  Grade information from PowerSchool is what is used to generate your "report card"/ student transcript.
