National Junior Honor Society Information:
Students who apply for National Junior Honor Society are required to complete 5 volunteer hours. Currently member are required to complete a total of 20 volunteer hours. Students who have completed hours should document them and share them with Mrs. Kelly. Additionally, High Honors (93% or better GPA) is required for membership in NJHS. Grades will run on a trimester basis. Students not maintaining a 93% or better cumulative average may be placed on academic probation. Current Members and Inductees will be acknowledged via induction in May 2023.

All new member applications should be completed by April 21, 2023. New applications will be reviewed by Southern's NJHS committee of teachers and candidates will be notified of their status via email in May. Acceptance into NJHS is not only determined by grades, conduct inside and outside of our buildings is also reviewed. Discipline infractions are taken into account during the application review and can impact acceptance at any point in the membership. Please email Mrs. Kelly with any questions or concerns.
