My name is Mrs. Betsy Fick and I have had the pleasure of teaching Gifted Support at Wilson since 2017! I'm a Berks County native, having graduated from Antietam High School. I loved being a Mountaineer, but now I love being a Bulldog! Prior to teaching, I worked in the field of Communications and also got to be creative as a graphic designer, photographer, and social media specialist.
I went to Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts and earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After that, I received my Master's of Education in Multicultural Education from Eastern University as well as my Elementary Certification. Since then, I've also completed graduate coursework in Reading Instruction at Kutztown and earned a certificate in Educational Innovation and Entreprenuership in the Total Experience Learning program at Albright College (now at Alvernia University.)
I am so excited to be teaching Gifted Support at Cornwall Terrace, Green Valley, and Whitfield elementary schools! When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my husband, our two boys, and our puppies, Remy and Frankie. We live in Lower Heidelberg Township and love trips to Disney, weekly visits to Twin Vallley Coffee, and enjoying time together!
At school, you can also find me leading the K'Nex Clubs at CT & GV, serving as part of the director team for GV's 5th grade musical, advising Conservation Club, and more! I love helping students explore their passions - whether it be in academics or beyond the four walls of the classroom. I look forward to another great school year together!
