By Middle School, most continuing string students have had a minimum of 2-3 years experience learning instrument care, music notation, rehearsal and performance etiquette.  It’s for these reasons that new string students are not generally added to the ensemble without evaluation and instrument orientation. 

Beginning a string instrument is always encouraged.  To avoid disappointment and frustration, however, students and families should be aware that their progress will depend heavily on the student’s own independent study.

These flyers will be distributed on a monthly basis, but please check Google Calendar for specific Sectional Lessons and Full Ensemble Rehearsals.  

Orchestra will meet on Day 1 & Day 3.  Students who also participate in band will join our Day 1 rehearsal, during their Special.
