Honouring Ceremony- Indigenous Graduation 2025

WHEN:  Friday May 22, 2026

              Ceremony: 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm    

   Grand Entry 4:30 pm with Graduate Procession

   Graduates: meet in Learning Commons at 4:00 pm to get into procession line up

   Pictures: mâmâwatowin and tipi following ceremony   

                      Photo booth(s) available in gym

      Group graduand photo following Round Dance in mâmâwatowin

WHERE:  Ross Sheppard High School in South Gym

WHO:   First Nations, Métis and Inuit graduates and grade 12 students, all family, and friends

HOW MANY FAMILY MEMBERS AND GUESTS CAN COME?

  ᑕᐋᐧᐤ tawâw                   Unlimited number of family members, guests, and friends

INVITATIONS: Graduates will be presented invitations in May.

Honouring Gifts: Elders will be presenting convocating students with a gift of honour to recognize the achievement of this important educational journey.

TIMELINE:

3:30 pm Graduates may take pictures together in mâmâwatowin and meet with Elders

4:00 pm Graduates meet in Learning Commons to get in procession line up

                 Family and guests arrive in South Gym for google slide showcase 

4:15 pm    All performers and administrators meet in Learning Commons for Grand Entry

4:30 pm Honouring Ceremony begins with Grand Entry

6:15 pm Photo opportunities
