Pear Deck is an interactive presentation tool used to actively engage students in individual and social learning. Teachers create presentations using their Google Drive account. You can either build your own engaging lessons, or use one from the site. Pear Deck works like any slide presentation program you're used to. In fact, you can even import your old PowerPoints, Google Slides, and PDFs to turn them into powerful interactive Pear Decks right from your Google Drive.
Once you use Pear Deck and create a lesson, it automatically creates a Google folder for all of your Pear Deck lessons in your Google Drive for easy storage and sharing.
Pros: Excellent website to help with walk-through. Very engaging for students!! Various types of questioning methods. Sharable lessons. Records student results, able to share results with students (eg: takeaways work with each student's Google Drive and record the session for them with all of their answers). Google compatible.
Cons: Require that all students have a device (works best on ipads for drawing questions), requires time investment to learn how to use, and in building lessons. Must purchase license for more advanced questioning types/options.
